Hello Daniell,
It has been some time since I last communicated with you about our
McGlothlen ancestry. You may remember that I had never found any source
data supporting the identification of William Glackin(g) and ElizabethBoggs
as being the parents of our ancestor, Charles M. McGlothlen and hissister,
Mary Hannah McGlothlen. Well, they are not and we now have proof of who
were their parents. This search had been underway for over 50 years thatI
am aware of - perhaps longer! What a relief to identify these ancestors.

>From a 1928 intestate probate file for John McLaughlin in Lafayettecounty,
Missouri, we found that the parents of our two known early McGlothlens are
as identified in the following descendancy. Note that Charles M. and Mary
H. had other siblings, which we suspected but had never found information
regarding their identities. We are now in the process of discoveringfurther information about our new found earliestMcGlothlen/McLaughlin/McLoughlin ancestors. Today, we believe they cameto America about 1752 directly from Ireland' county Donegal.

Please correct your web pages to at least delete the reference to William
Glackin(g) and Elizabeth Boggs. Also, please check your web pagesregarding
the children of Charles M. McGlothlen and their spouses against the
following, as it more correctly identifies them than data from John Turley
or myself in earlier publications.

More than a little of my ancestry data was in error back then. I have
included the listing of names and dates for the children of Mary H.
McGlothlen in the following as I know them and would appreciate any
corrections.

Lastly, note that the surname spelling used by Charles M. and Mary Hannah
WAS McGlothlen. It may be that other of their siblings used the spelling
McLaughlin and yet others used McGlothlin. We plan to identify just how
that was done in the months ahead.
